Late last year we purchased an Electric Vehicle Suppression Unit.  During drill, members reviewed fire police operations, working with the arrow stick, hydrant hookup, pumping and how to connect and operate the unit along with other options available.

We were lucky enough to have members who have small children to practice pediatric emergencies on.  Pediatric patients are extremely tough to assess and manage during emergenices, which members soon found out.   

Members were introduced to the new car seat options, different from years past, how to remove patients out of them, how to leave the kids in their car seat and attach to the strecher. Using the pediatric blood pressure cuff, a pediatric backboard, how to secure and understanding that kids are not happy to be away from their parents.   

We also had time to review the use of an israeli bandage,  the W tool and our lucas machine.
